The London Borough of Bexley and its partners are holding a ‘Good Food Bexley' event from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday 30 August.
‘Good Food Bexley' will promote job and training opportunities in the food industry, tasty tips for cooking on a budget, healthy eating and fun activities for children, as well as tips on how to save money and live more sustainably.
The fun will be located at the Clock Tower, Broadway Bexleyheath and will host a variety of different stalls offering a range of advice and services including:
Free healthy wraps
Smoothie bikes
Drumming workshop
Children's University
Cory Group
Children Centres giving tips on helping fussy eaters/starting solids
Learning and Enterprise College Bexley
Jobcentre Plus
Bexley Business and Employment
Bexley's Fostering Recruitment Team
Food waste and recycling tips and Guidance.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Baroness O'Neill of Bexley OBE, said:
I am delighted that we have been able to work with so many partners to organise this event for our residents. ‘Good Food Bexley' will provide opportunities to learn about simple and nutritious cooking as well as jobs in hospitality. I hope that we see lots of people join us on the Broadway on 30 August.'
