More of Countrywide’s leads are coming from Zoopla than from Rightmove, the UK’s largest estate agent has reported.
Leads from Rightmove are also not as plentiful as those from Countrywide’s own website.
Reporting for the third quarter of this year, Countrywide said that 35% of its leads are from its own website, 35% from Zoopla and 30% from Rightmove.
The change which has seen Rightmove lose ground started to happen this year. Last year, 36% of Countrywide’s leads were from Rightmove, with 31% from its own website and 33% from the portals now merged into Zoopla.
By contrast, in 2009, 67% of leads were from Rightmove, 23% from the Digital websites (now part of Zoopla) and just 10% from its own website.
Countrywide says leads from its own website, Propertywide, are continuing to grow, with 13% coming from mobiles and apps.
It also says that there are now eight stand-alone lettings websites on the Propertywide portal.
No mention is made of print advertising in its presentation on leads.
