Zoopla Squaring Up To Big Fight With Rightmove !!

Zoopla is reporting all-time record traffic to its website along with record levels of inquiries to agents so far in August.

Visits to the site over the first three weeks of August are up 45% on last year, with over 3.5m visits last week alone.

The number of leads being sent by Zoopla to agents has set multiple new records over the past two weeks, with almost 250,000 inquiries over the past seven days.

Mobile activity has also increased significantly to new record levels with mobile traffic up 200% year-on-year.

Zoopla has also announced it is in the final stages of its integration with Digital Property Group on to a single technology platform, which is expected to be completed by the end of September.

The merged business will operate Zoopla, Primelocation and FindaProperty, with no suggestion – yet – of any of the brands disappearing.

However, there is no doubt that Zoopla is raising its profile considerably.

It recently did a deal to become principal sponsor of West Bromwich Albion FC, and has now announced that it will also become the main sponsor of the Albion Foundation, which delivers sports and education opportunities in the local community.

Over the next two years, Zoopla has pledged £50,000 to the Albion Foundation.

Zoopla has also launched ‘Golden Goals’ to help to raise additional funds for the Albion Foundation and other local charities.

Every time West Bromwich Albion FC scores a goal in a Premier League match this season, Zoopla will donate £1,000 to charity.

Of that, £500 will go to the Albion Foundation and £500 will be shared amongst other West Midlands based charities including Ideal for All, Krunch, Compton Hospice, CLIC Sargent (West Midlands Region) and Macmillan (West Midlands Region). As a result of the 3-0 win over Liverpool last weekend, this initiative has already raised £3,000 for these local charities.
