CROSSNESS OPEN DAY - SUNDAY 16TH OCTOBER

Date Published 13 October 2022

Note about this event from organisers.

NOTE: WE are not able, at present , to run the engine which is normally operational on open days.
Whilst this is disappointing a visit to the site is still very worthwhile so we have decided to go ahead with this open day.

This is an opportunity to have a look at the buildings and engines, to take in the exhibition and learn something of the Victorian sewer system which continues to serve the capital.

There is an admission charge for this event:

Age 16 and over - £12.00, Age 5-15 - £4.00, Under 5 free.

Light refreshments will be available and the shop will offer some interesting items for sale. Families can join the learning team for a free make and take craft activity and explore the Crossness site with our children's activity trail.

Our car park is about 600m from the main building - blue badge holders will be able to park much closer to the building. If you travel by public transport we are quite remote so it may be worth getting a taxi. Nearest station is Abbey Wood.

Last entry is 3.30pm [15.30].
